Message from the Director
As the end of 2025 approaches, I would like to thank you for your participation in our artist community. Thank you for showing up to our webinars, experimenting, supporting one another, and reminding us all why art matters. I urge you to maximize the holiday season, as typically this is the time of the year where artists sell in greater volume. At the same time, start dreaming up fresh inspiration and bold ideas for the coming year. Get in touch if you would like to be part of a growing movement of like-minded artists who are succeeding both personally and creatively. Here’s to growth, connection, and endless imagination.

Featured Artist of the Month: Richel Lavette
Fine art, event and portrait photographer, Richel Lavette’s passion is to create artistic life images with her camera. For the last 26 years she has captured stunning landscapes, cityscapes and nature scenes in addition to her signature portrait work. Her work is currently exhibited at the Imagine Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida and at the Creative Pinellas “Arts Annual 8” art exhibition in Largo, Florida.

Please tell us a little bit about your art business.
I love finding beautiful scenes in nature or walking in a city photographing interesting moments that we often miss in our daily lives. All you need is a good amount of patience, a bit of nerve and plenty of creativity. Fine art photography is a challenge, an adventure and a lot of fun! I love it!
In general, how has the use of Mr. Hubbard's administrative technology impacted your business?
The Hubbard Management System gives you the tools to run your art business or any business effectively. My art business always grows when I apply these tools, they work and it’s not difficult. Mr. Hubbard has mapped out the road to successfully running any business, you just learn and apply these tools and it’s like magic, your business grows and income goes up!
What piece of Mr. Hubbard's administrative wisdom have you found particularly helpful in making your business successful?
One key principle that always works for my business is to promote even when the walls are caving in. When I do this I always get more people reaching out for my photography, and more closes which equals more income. It works 100% of the time. Just keep promoting and reaching out to new clients in many directions that you have found successful, no matter what else is going on, and you will expand your business!
As a successful art business owner, is there one really valuable tip that you would like our readers to take away with them?
Take care of your clients, ensure they are happy with your products, and fix it right away if they are not. And take care of your staff and your vendors, appreciate the work they do, validate and reward them when they are producing, and if they are not doing well, train them, find out what is happening and handle it right away so they are doing great and working with you to achieve the purpose of your business.

You can find Richel at her newly designed website Lavette Photo Studios, as well as on Facebook and Instagram.
