"The greatest joy there is in life is creating.
"Splurge on it!"
- L. Ron Hubbard
Message from the Director
The theme for our newsletter this month is the joy of creating. Let’s take a moment to celebrate what brings us all together — the simple, powerful joy of creating. Whether it’s paint on canvas, notes in a melody, words on a page, or pixels on a screen, the act of making something from nothing is pure magic. In a world that often focuses on outcomes, it’s easy to forget the beauty that lies in the process — the moments when ideas flow and when experiments surprise us. Every brushstroke, sketch, or creative spark is a reminder of our ability to imagine, express, and connect.Let’s keep inspiring each other and celebrating not just the finished works, but the creative journey itself. And most importantly, let’s inspire each other regards the actions we take to share our final art with others, so they too can experience the joy we felt when creating it.
Keep creating my friends,
– Leisa Collins
Featured Artist of the Month: Rachel Rausch-Johnson
Rachel Rausch-Johnson is a portrait and event photographer. Her cool and fresh approach suits the way she works. Her goal is to make creative pictures that will outlive her and be enjoyed for generations.

Please tell us a little bit about your art business.
I started out making prints of landscapes, which I sold at art shows. Seeing that there were three other photographers doing the same thing, I learned about a Polaroid process that made my images unique. The following year at the same show, that was all I sold, quite successfully. Commercially, I mainly photographed weddings, events and portraits and headshots. I do fewer weddings now, but still shoot nature, portraits, and events. I’ve been doing this for over 30 years.
In general, how has the use of Mr. Hubbard's administrative technology impacted your business?
I'd known about the Hubbard Management System tech for a long time but I only used some of it in my business. I just didn’t understand it. So when my business took off, I was drowning in disorganization! Then I joined an EMA (Effective Management Association), got help with implementing the Model of Admin Know-How and wow! What a difference. I have order, I have peace of mind, and my income is much better. I KNOW what to do in any situation – go find a policy that covers the situation. And it’s resolved.
What piece of Mr. Hubbard's administrative wisdom have you found particularly helpful in making your business successful?
Probably the Organizing Board. This is where I learned that there are other people who will eventually take over some of the things that I am doing now. So I'm getting ready for them by writing up hats!
As a successful art business owner, is there one really valuable tip that you would like our readers to take away with them?
Don’t rely on so-so technology that might only work for them. The Hubbard Management System has been used by thousands of businesses owners who have achieved success. That is what made me want to use this technology. It just WORKS when applied FULLY!
I have been a Model of Admin Know-How winner for four years straight. Every year, I bring in more organization and more calm and more income.
My trip to the WISE Roundtable this year was especially great! I was able to fully immerse myself with my fellow WISE Members who are already experiencing great results or are on their way. Everyone was very engaged, eager to learn. The mood was hopeful and productive. Everyone was there to support one another, with guidance and safety. And the speakers were generous with their time. The staff who organized it did a great job! The Roundtable is a very positive environment that stokes the fires of inspiration to share knowledge and do more.

In Misha’s story, a man wakes up in a graveyard with no memory and a bleeding head wound, only to find himself at the center of a murder investigation involving a charming cemetery caretaker, a skeptical but attractive cop, and a suspiciously well-timed picnic.
